Country house (casa quinta)
A home on a large plot, typically outside the urban core, with garden, pool, and trees — used as a weekend retreat or full-time residence.
The "casa quinta" is a Paraguayan staple. Distinguished from a chalet or urban home by plot size (typically 1,000+ m²) and recreation features: pool, quincho (covered grill area), parrilla, fruit trees, large garden. Usually in semi-rural or suburban areas (Luque, Areguá, Itauguá, San Bernardino, Ypacaraí), though some exist within Greater Asunción. Originally weekend escapes, increasingly used as primary residences by families wanting more space.
